RAJOURI: District Rajouri Wrestling Association organised day-long Rajouri District Championship, here on Sunday. The event took place under the patronage of Wrestling Association of J&K, J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association.
In total, 32 young wrestlers from the district participated in this championship, a handout issued by the Association here today said.
Headmaster of Government High School Sawani, Nirmal Kumar was the chief guest while Sahil Raina was guest of honour.
Among other prominent present were Neha Dutta, Amit Sharma, Rakesh Manhas, Pankaj Sharma and Akshay Kumar.
The Detailed Results: 50 kg: Sajjad Hussain, Ist; Mohd Rukhsar, 2nd and Danish Pervaiz, 3rd. 57 kg: Simran Jeet Singh, Ist; Rohit Kumar, 2nd and Pervaiz Ahmed, 3rd. 61 kg: Mohd Basharat, Ist; Gurvinder Singh, 2nd and Mohd Amjid, 3rd. 65 kg: Sajid Mehmood, Ist; Rohit Kumar, 2nd and Ajaz Ahmed, 3rd. 70 kg: Mohd Basharat, 1st; Akshay Kumar, 2nd and Anil Sharma, 3rd. 79 kg: Amit Sharma, Ist; Mohd Abdullah, 2nd and Mehmood Hussain, 3rd.
