JAMMU: A Division Bench (DB) of Jammu & Kashmir High Court on Monday granted a week’s time to the state government for filing fresh status report in the infamous Rajouri Development Authority Scam.
The DB comprising Chief Justice of J&K High Court N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan was hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) related to alleged hushing up of the aforesaid scam.
According to PIL, the J&K State Vigilance Organization, instead of filing an FIR against the delinquent officers of Rajouri Development Authority (RDA), converted it into regular departmental action against them.
The PIL includes names of the serving officers in RDA at that time including Chief Executive Officer, RDA Mohammad Javed Khan, Executive Engineer Khushal Chand, Executive Engineer Devi Dass Heer and Junior Engineer Gurcharan Singh.
