Rajnath Singh to review anti-naxal operations in Nagpur tomorrow
Nagpur: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will arrive here tomorrow to undertake a review of the anti-naxal operations in the eastern Vidarbha region.
Singh will review anti-naxal operations in the eastern Vidarbha region while holding a meeting at the state guest house ‘Ravi Bhawan’ here in the afternoon, Ravindra Kadam, Inspector General of Police, Nagpur Range who is also Deputy IG anti-naxal operations (Gadchiroli), told PTI.
Maharashtra Chief Secretary Swadhin Kshatriya along with Director General of Police, Maharashtra Sanjiv Dayal with other top officials and Superintendents of Police of naxal-hit districts including Gadchiroli, Bhandara and Gondia will be attending the meeting.
The Home Minister will be arriving in the city by a BSF plane in the morning and immediately leave for ‘Smruti Mandir’ in Reshimbagh in eastern part of the city where the third year annual training camp of RSS is underway.
He will then address participants there drawn from all over the country, BJP city unit sources said.
After the anti-naxal operation review meeting, he will return to New Delhi.
