JAMMU: National President, Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party (RKSP), Gopal Rai dissolved the state unit to give a fillip to the State unit before the State elections and appointed a senior leader of Congress Party Rajesh Gupta as State President.
While addressing the press meet, Rai said that the existing state unit of the party has completed its term and there was a need to revive the State unit as the Assembly elections are round the corner.
He further said that it was long pending demand of the workers to revive the party and to change the State President and other office bearers so that new and experiences people should come forward.
Mentioning about the newly appointed president, Rai said that Rajesh has worked in Congress Party for last 35 years and now he is fed up with wrong policies of the Congress and corruption in the party.
Rai said that Rajesh was authorized to constitute the State committee and that to be conveyed to the central office. Rajesh was also authorized to revive all district and block committees to reach out to people, he added.
Rai said that Rajesh Gupta will contest Assembly election from the Jammu East Assembly Constituency and is authorized to issue party mandate to contesting candidates.
While addressing the journalists, Rajesh Gupta said that wrong policies of Congress party which has forced me to desert because nepotism has ruined the Congress party and the main cause of corruption in Congress is nepotism.
He said that especially debacle in Lok Sabha election, the Congress party had not learnt any lesson.
