Rajendra stresses for people-friendly policing to garner cooperation

KATHUA: Exhorting the cops to continue people friendly policing, Director General of Police (DGP),. K. Rajendra Kumar on Thursday said that public contribution is mandatory for countering the nefarious designs of elements vitiating peaceful atmosphere.
Rajendra was addressing police officers and Jawans in twin districts of Kathua and Samba. He said that being a visible law enforcing body, the force has always been an eyesore of the criminals and thus had to face very unenviable situations while dealing with them.
“Our brave jawans and officers never showed back towards the assignments involving even the loss of their lives. During the operations against militants, our men have ensured the safety of civilian lives and public property,” he added.
DGP appreciated the contribution of cops in safeguarding the human lives and public property in the border districts and expressed hope that their dedication and selfless commitment towards public service would continue and garner public appreciation for the force.
Among others present on the occasion were IGP Jammu Zone, Danesh Rana, DIG JKSR, A.A Wani, SSP Kathua, Pawan Parihar and SSP Samba, Joginder Singh, Principal PTTI Vijaypur, Ranjit Kanwar, Principal PTS Kathua, Sanjiv Khajuria, Commandant IRP 17 Bn, Roop Raj, Additional SP Kathua, Khahil Poswal, Dy SP Headquarters Kathua, Ajay Sharma, SDPO, SHO and other police officers.
