Rahul Gandhi – wrecker in chief of opposition
Delhi election results are out. BJP has swept the polls, made a history of sorts. This is vindication of the party’s strong and future-looking leadership led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This also has established quite firmly that BJP is the most trusted party in the country, and so is the leadership of Modi.
There, however, is the other side of this picture- the ridiculous lengths to which Rahul Gandhi conducted himself and led his party Congress to the political suicide in the Indian politics. Delhi elections have reconfirmed his poor knowledge of India, aspirations of its people who want to see their nation on top of the world. And Rahul Gandhi has nothing but anti-Modi and anti-Hindu rhetoric to offer. The people have summarily rejected it.

In a democracy, there always is need of a strong government led by politically strong leaders, which also needs strong opposition that is responsible and the one that makes the government accountable on the issues of importance. As far as the Government is concerned , Modi, since his assumption of the office as Prime Minister in May 2014 , demonstrated the qualities of a leader who led the country out of morass and depression caused by the lack of political will , corruption and overall mood of despondency all across.
NEWS ANALYSIS
Modi infused confidence among the countrymen who had given up hope about the future prospects, as they had to confront high-corruption at every step. The poor were getting poor and the rich were running away with their wealth to other countries. He stabilized the nation and made the people have confidence about themselves and their future. He took this as a mission to bring changes in the country, enhance their prestige by the sole mission of ‘nation first’.
It was expected that the Congress that had been dumped by the people for its arrogance and corruption would have learnt lessons from its electoral defeat. The party displayed its lessons to the contrary. It became more arrogant and corrupt. Its party system started crumbling and as a result of which the party lost election after election in states. Even in Jammu and Kashmir, its tally was reduced to 12 in 2014, which in 2024 further dipped to six.
Rahul Gandhi started leading the party to make it look like a patch. He was chosen to lead the party solely because he was a scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family. The family believes in entitlement in all spheres, without looking at the flaws that made it to rest in opposition. It lost 2014 elections badly, and 2019 poll brought still bitter results. The party could not touch even the figure of 50 in Lok Sabha. . This was the worst-ever performance of the party in Lok Sabha polls ever since it came into political arena of electoral politics.
Instead of reflecting on losses, Rahul Gandhi reveled in his own thinking – travelling to foreign countries, bad mouthing India and the BJP leadership , forgetting all the while that Narendra Modi was elected by the people and his party BJP was on ascendency . The hard work , devoted to rebuilding the nation and taking it to new heights made the people to trust and vote for him and the BJP time and again.
During Delhi elections, Rahul Gandhi intoxicated by his self-obsession wrecked boat of the opposition. Believing himself to be the sole leader of INDIA bloc, he told all other parties to quit the field. He took on AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal. The opposition unity which was already under shadows lost to itself. INDIA bloc is finished. And the only man responsible for making opposition irrelevant is Rahul Gandhi. He is wrecker-in -chief of opposition.
