PWA demands implementation of 7th Pay Commission

KATHUA: In a meeting of Pensioners Welfare Association (PWA) District Kathua held under its president Amar Nath Dogra, the participants appealed to the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti to implement the recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission immediately so that the hard pressed employees also heave a sigh of relief. In his address Amar Nath Dogra said that there had been nominal increase in the salary of employees in this pay commission while the legislature has increased the salary of its members by 100 per cent for its payment forthwith. The participants also appealed for enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3,000 in view of sky rocketing prices of medicines. Prominent among those present in the meeting include Tara Singh, Amrik Singh, Sohan Lal, Dewan Chand, Dalip Singh, Saran Singh, Khushi Ram Sgharma, Karam Chand, Shambu Nath Verma, Harnam Singh and M.S Jamwal.
