Punjabi Lekhak Sabha organises literary meet

JAMMU: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu conducted its fortnightly literary meet here on Sunday in which Surinder Singh Seerat was the Chief Guest and Kanwal Kashmiri, a well known Punjabi writer of the State presided over the meeting.
Secretary, PLS, Jang S. Verman was also present on this occasion. Short stories and articles were presented and poetry recited by the well known Punjabi writers attending the meeting. Those who presented their literary creations include Dr. Monojit, Amar Singh Kuka, M.S Kamra, Rahi Simbalpuria, Harbhajan Singh Upashak, Ichhupal Singh, Gurcharan Singh Star, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Bishan Das Khak, Pritam Singh Anjan, Ajit Singh Mastana, Balwinder Singh, Hardeep Singh Deep, Dr. Baljeet Raina, Dr. Karan Singh, Surinder Singh Seerat and Kanwal Kashmiri. These creations included lyrics, Ghazals, article on various literary themes and short stories.
Earlier welcoming the participants, Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina, General Secretary, PLS said that the meeting was organised to honour Surinder Singh Seerat.
Seerat appreciated the working of Sabha and also for promoting Punjabi language by making efforts for the writers to publish and release their books of literary creations. He recalled his experiences of his literary journey in India and Chicago.
Kanwal Kashmiri advised the writers who have created a number of literary works, to publish their books for documenting those works. Devinder Singh Vishav-nagrik, President, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, extended vote of thanks.
