JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday announced holiday on 4th February for the selected employees who are voters in the Punjab State.
According to Government order dated 3rd February, it was stated that pursuant to the instructions of the Election Commission of India conveyed vide No. CS0/2017/909911/01 dated 17th January 2017, sanction is hereby accorded to the grant of paid holiday on 4th February 2017, the day of polling for Punjab State Legislative Assembly, in favour of Government Employees/ Semi-Government Employees/ Industrial Workers who are voters in Punjab but are working in Jammu and Kashmir, so that they can cast their votes.
