Pulwama encounter: Two LeT terrorists holed up, search operation underway

SRINAGAR: An encounter between security forces and terrorists started on Sunday in Samboora village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama, police said.
According to police, at least two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists are believed to be holed up at the encounter site. “Acting on a tip-off about presence of terrorists in Samboora village, a joint cordon and search operations(CASO) was launched by 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of Indian Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police,” a senior police official said, adding, “As the cordon was being laid, the hiding terrorists fired upon the soldiers.” However, there are no reports of any causalities from either side.
Meanwhile, according to the reports, LeT’s Ayoub Lelhari along with a Pakistani associates are holed up in the area.
