POONCH: Raising public demand of either providing twelve kilograms of ration per soul of family or to roll back National Food Security Act, launched by previous PDP-BJP coalition as publicity stunt, National Conference today staged a massive protest in Dingla (Janyar) village of Poonch which was largely attended by the general public of the area wherein the demand for a probe into then preparation of ration beneficiaries list was also raised
Amid sloganeering against previous Coalition Government, protesters said that NFSA has put general public on trouble as it has thrown State in a stage where almost all there is no availability of ration on stores and beneficiaries are in crunch.
” NC Congress coalition led by Omar Abdullah kept NFSA away as they were well known to its adverse effects but PDP BJP coalition launched the Act in a high profile manner which has fallen flat ” protesting NC workers and people said adding that only to get undue publicity , NFSA was launched but it has created immense problems for ration beneficiaries.
Protesters also raised the demand for probe to establish the negligence into the preparation of faulty lists of ration beneficiaries terming these newly prepared lists as full of mistakes and faults wherein majority of beneficiaries have been removed.
They also expressed helplessness on the present representationship of Poonch Haveli segment. NC Congress coalition, proved it’s mettle of strong representationship and governance during its coalition government led by Omar Abdullah when a strong democratic setup was in place but now the whole system is rusted due to poor governance of PDP BJP for ten months and their delay in decision of government formation since more than two months ” NC Sr Leader of Nangali Block, Sarpanch Ch. Mohd Bashir Bagran said while addressing the protest.
Prominent locals and NC workers present in the protest were Haji Mohd, Yooqb Panch, Mohd Sharief, Qureashi Panch, Mohd Rafiq Para Panch, Mohd Sadiq, Molvi Mohd Yousaf, Abdul Haq, Qureashi Munaber, Hussain Kasana, Barkat Hussain and Mohd Ashraf.
