Protest over Handwara incident

BHADARWAH: People of Bhalessa area held a protest against the killing of youths in Handwara incident.
Former minister and senior Congress leader Mohd Sharief Niaz also joined the protesters and condemned the brutal killing of four innocent people by the security forces in Handwara, Kashmir.
Niaz was addressing a protest rally at Changa, Bhalessa which was organised to protest against the killing of innocent people. All speakers also condemned the killing of Kashmiri students in other states of the country. They also blocked the road near Changa for several hours.
Meanwhile, people of Kishtwar also held a protest after Friday prayers against the brutal killings in Kashmir. After Friday prayer, people of particular community assembled at Bus Stand Kishtwar and held protest against Handwara killings. They blocked main highway near bus stand and disrupted vehicular movement for couple of hours. Protest and strike call was given by Hurriyat Conference and other fractions of pro-freedom parties.
Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Molvi Farooq Ahmed and Molvi Qayoom spoke on the occasion and showed their resentment over the killing of innocent youths. They demanded strict action against the security personnel who are responsible for the incident. Security was beefed up by the respective Administration to avoid any untoward incident.
