UDHAMPUR: A large number of residents of Manwal locality on Tuesday held a protest near Manwal on Dhar Road in Udhampur to show resentment against the police for not arresting the accused teacher who made abortive bid to molest a student in school premises.
Residents of Manwal locality assembled near Manwal in Udhampur and blocked the road and also burnt the tyres to disrupt the vehicular movement. Protestors alleged that police has not arrested the accused teacher posted at Govt. Higher Secondary School Kathar in Manwal who made abortive bid to physically assault a student in school hours.
Protestors also raised slogans against the police for its utter failure to arrest the accused despite lodging FIR against the teacher who is involved in the crime. They appealed to the higher ups of the police to expedite the investigation and book the accused person.
