Properties of 11 Kishtwar-based absconding terrorists operating from PoK/Pak attached

Kishtwar: In a significant step towards eliminating terror networks in District Kishtwar, the Special NIA court Doda has issued order regarding attachment of 11 properties of absconding terrorists presently based at POK/PAK.

SSP Kishtwar on Friday said that the action was executed after an in-depth investigation in case FIR No. 272/2022, registered under sections 120-B, 121-A IPC, and 13, 18, 39 of UAPA at Police Station Kishtwar.
The investigation, culminated in legal proceedings before the Hon’ble NIA Special Court, Doda.
Earlier, 36 Kishtwar based terrorists, operating from PoK/Pakistan, were declared absconders by the Court. Of these, the properties measuring 52 Kanals 8.875 Marlas of 11 terrorists operating from POK/PAK were identified and attached as per legal provisions.
Based on records, the Additional District & Session judge, Sudesh Sharma, Special Judge NIA Court, Doda, issued attachment orders under Section 83 CrPC vide order No. 33-34/FTC/NIA dated 23-01-2025. Acting on these directions, SSP Kishtwar formed special teams comprising senior officers of Police alongwith Executive Magistrates to ensure the execution of the court orders.
The attached properties have been marked with signboards, notifying to the public of their attachment.
The terrorists whose property has been attached include Shabir Ahmed alias Junaid, son of Gh. Mohd Rishi, resident of Sewa Chatroo; Jamal Din Naik alias Mudassir, son of Ghulam Qadir Naik resident of Sewa Chatroo; Shabir Ahmed, son of Gaffar Beigh, resident of Beigh Pura Singpura; Manzoor Ahmed, son of Abdul Rahim Kholi, resident of Zella Chatroo; Ghulam Mohd Gujjar, son of Faqeera Gujjar, resident of Titwan Gurinal Chatroo; Ghulam Nabi alias Majid, son of Mohd Akbar Wani, resident of Sherri Sigdi; Mohd Shafi alias Amjad, son of Mohd Afzal Wani, resident of Sherri Sigdi; Ghulam Hussain Sheikh, son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh, resident of Sheikhpura Kuchhal; Bashir Ahmed Raina alias Showkat, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Raina, resident of Raina Mohalla, Kuchhal; Gulzar Ahmed alias Javid, son of Abdul Gaffar Malik, resident of Rather Mohalla, Kuchhal and Gulabu, son of Hashim Gujjar, resident of Rahalthal Mughal Maidan.
ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, has said that properties of 18 additional absconding terrorists have been identified, and the process for their attachment is underway. This will further tighten the noose on terror operatives, leaving no room for anti-national activities.
Reaffirming the commitment to uproot terrorism, ADGP Jammu stated that such actions form part of a larger strategy aimed at disrupting the terror infrastructure, ensuring that no asset is misused to fund or support anti-national activities.
In a strong message, ADGP Jammu warned anti-national elements, overground workers, and sleeper cells to shun their activities and return to the mainstream. He cautioned that anyone aiding or abetting terrorism will face the full force of the law. Citizens were urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activity.
