Prof Dr Ashutosh honoured for exemplary services during recent crisis

CHANDIGARH: In a dignified ceremony held at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, Prof. Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal and Dean of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, was honoured and felicitated for his exemplary and distinguished services during the recent war-like situation in the border regions of Jammu, Poonch, and Rajouri.

All the doctors who rendered services during war like situation were honoured in the function. Among the many dedicated professionals, Prof. Dr. Gupta was especially acknowledged for his leadership and swift coordination of medical relief efforts.
During the crisis, Prof. Dr. Gupta played a pivotal role in organizing multiple mobile medical teams, establishing specialized care zones within the hospital, and ensuring the delivery of world-class medical, surgical, and diagnostic services to the injured and displaced victims from the border areas.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Gupta dedicated the recognition to his team, including faculty members, medical superintendents, doctors, nursing staff, and paramedical personnel of GMC Jammu.
He lauded their unwavering dedication and round-the-clock service, which enabled the institution to provide comprehensive and compassionate care during the emergency.
