POONCH : A proclaimed offender involved in a murder case and had been absconding since 1997, was arrested by Poonch Police after 20 years.
The accused Girdhari Lal, son of Jia Lal, resident of village Mangnar, Poonch was wanted in FIR 127/1997 under Sections 302, 34 and 201 RPC and was evading arrest since 1997. The SSP Poonch Rajiv Pandey reviewed all the pending cases and constituted a team headed by Sub Inspector Jonesh Verma under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarter Mohan Sharma. The team which kept on working on the case, finally conducted a raid and arrested the accused from Mangnar on Thursday.
