SRINAGAR : Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul on Friday directed the IG Crime Branch (CB) to conduct a probe into the case of alleged land grab and conversion at Marhama Bijbehara.
The Speaker gave this direction on a point raised by Deputy Speaker, Mohammad Sartaj Madni immediately before the Question Hour.
Gul directed the Crime Branch to complete the probe within 15 days and also directed that all relevant records and documents be deposited with his office tomorrow.
Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Ittoo and Nasir Aslam Wani also demanded a thorough and time-bound probe into the allegation.
