Priya Sethi praises Mubarak Mandi GHSS results

JAMMU: Minister of State for Education, Culture and Information Priya Sethi on Saturday said the Mubarak Mandi Girls Higher Secondary School is one of the best schools of the region and through joint efforts of staff and students the school has shown exemplary results over the years. She appreciated the exemplary performance of the school.
She said in the recently declared results of 12th class, the school has got 15 positions and in Home Science stream all 10 positions have gone to the said school.
“The performance of the school speaks for itself and the students by the dint of hard work and expert guidance of their teachers have proven that the government run institutions are second to none,” she added.
She was speaking at the annual magazine release function of the school, here.
‘Sahitya Sarita’ – the school magazine details various activities of the school and the achievements made by the students and teachers in the field of studies, games and extracurricular activities.
Senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi was special guest on the occasion.
Besides prominent citizens, parents and students, CEO, Jammu, Principal and staff of the school attended the annual event.
Responding to the demands put forth by the school administration, the minister said that the requirements for infrastructure and human resource would be addressed on priority.
She said plan should be submitted for establishment of games court, examination hall and new toilet complex, adding that funds would be no constraint for creation of better infrastructure.
Stressing on counselling of students, Priya said the government is contemplating to establish centers for counselling in schools so as to motivate and guide the students as per their performance and capabilities.
She said each child is unique and teachers should take special care in identifying the strong points so as to give the student moral confidence for choosing right field for future.
She said teacher has to play the role of mother and each student needs to be handled with proper care and attention so that hidden potentials can be explored.
Lauding efforts put in by the school administration and students for excellent result, Yudhvir Sethi said the school is pride of the region and all out efforts would be made to help the school in scaling new heights of performance.
On the occasion, the students presented colourful cultural items depicting dance forms of three regions of the State. Solo performances of school teacher on sitar and Maratha dance by a student were well appreciated by the audience. The function started with Saraswati Vandana and ended with Punjabi performance.
