Till a day ahead of the last phase of polling in Jammu and Kashmir; Congress, National Conference, PDP and BJP virtually called names to each other during campaigning and just a day after the elections, backdoor parleys began between the worst foes to discuss combinations and permutations about possible government formulation. This side-effect of democracy seems to be more lethal in this part of the country where duplicity forms core of the political practitioners.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the political actors to befriend villains in order to have their tryst with power, by hook or by crook?
