Unfolding its ‘Aspirational Agenda’, the election manifesto, Peoples Democratic Party has promised reintegration and re-absorption of Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmiri milieu and working out of a legislative framework for empowerment of all minorities including Sikhs and Christians. The PDP has not talked about millions of Hindus of the Jammu region, who too form minority in the Muslim majority State. Instead, the manifesto talks about the ST status for Pahari speaking people and separate ministry for the welfare of STs and Gujjars.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the Kashmir centric parties to out-rightly ignore Jammuities but at the same time expect their support as well in formation of government to remain glued to power?
