Three days after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah dismissed the presence of ISIS flags in parts of Srinagar as handiwork of ‘idiots’, Pradesh Congress President Saif-ud-Din Soz described re-emergence of the banners of the dreaded outfit yet again after Friday prayers, consecutively for the fourth time, as ‘act of a few stupid individuals’. The observations of the two senior politicians are contrary to the concerns of top army generals and intelligence sleuths who are worried over the developments.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for Kashmir centric politicians to downplay terrorists as just ‘misguided youth’, ‘idiots’ and now ‘stupid individuals’ despite the fact that Jammu and Kashmir has suffered immensely during the past 25 years?
