PRIDE OR SHAME
Syed Ali Geelani has described those in Kashmir believing in election politics as chameleon and faithless, who don’t have any religion. By challenging the faith of lakhs of people who have participated in Parliamentary, Assembly and Panchayat elections many a times during the past six decades, especially after the outbreak of lunatic terrorism, Geelani has jumped the red line and offended a sizable section of Kashmir society. Doesn’t the term ‘faithless and no religion’ point to infidels?
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the so-called mainstream leaders to compromise with self respect and swallow such a bitter pill without showing least resentment?
