While the State Government is downplaying the huge rescue and relief operations by the Centre, the separatists are shamelessly accusing India of taking ‘sadistic pleasure’ on flood havoc in Kashmir. Both these camps are giving lot of weight and projection to relief measures being ‘carried out’ by local volunteers. In this great effort, some ‘dare devil’ volunteers took no pity on a National Conference worker and killed him at point blank range without specifying his sin at a time when the entire Kashmir is looking towards the benevolence of Almighty.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for Geelani’s Mujahids to unleash ‘Dehshat’ at the most testing time of history when the flood hit Valley is craving for ‘Rahat’?
