The just concluded elections have brought Jammu and Kashmir at the cross roads of its history. The mandate is divided. The party voted in Kashmir has been marginalised in Jammu and vice versa. But some pseudo secularists, who have been totally annihilated in these elections, are further fuelling the polarisation by alienating Jammu, which they till yesterday were hailing as symbol of tolerance and inclusiveness, terming the vote as communal, anti-Kashmiri and a move to separate the region from the Valley.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the politicians who have relegated Jammuties as second class citizens and made them to play second fiddle for the past six and half decades to nail them for having demonstrated their existence by power of vote?
