After meeting Governor N. N Vohra, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti gave a scoop to waiting media persons, claiming support of 55 legislators in the newly constituted Legislative Assembly– 11 more than required 44 for formation of the government. However, she gave miss to explaining the combinations and permutations, as both 28 PDP+25 BJP+ 2 PC make it to 55, like 28 PDP+15 NC+12 Congress, which combine together come to 55. She also preferred silence over the terms and conditions of the possible combinations.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for tricky politicians to keep their electors in dark by keeping all cards to their chests in order to manipulate magic figure by bidding adieu to ‘lofty’ ideals and principles, which they professed during surcharged electioneering?
