Anticipating the wrath of stake-holders for creating a situation as a result of which there has been considerable decline in tourist traffic to Kashmir, chronic secessionists of the Valley have started looking for alibis. Militant turned separatist Yasin Malik has attributed ‘hype’ on flood havoc to poor tourism and not the security scenario. He has expressed concern over en-masse cancellation in hotel bookings, saying this has left the tourist industry in lurch.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for both separatists and mainstream leaders to get alarmed when tourists show disinclination towards visiting Kashmir but diktat terms to pilgrims who want to pay obeisance at Amarnath Cave Shrine?
