PRIDE OR SHAME
The anti-graft body of the country’s ‘second most corrupt state of Jammu and Kashmir’ is in dock for filing closure report in the State High Court of a case involving two former Speakers of Legislative Assembly. They were facing charges of illegal and backdoor appointments in the Assembly and MLA Hostel, made in a complaint filed in the High Court. Backdoor and illegal appointments have been a common feature in the State, having whopping number of about six lakh unemployed educated.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the State Vigilance Organisation to leave big fish and keep hunting for small fishes to justify its existence?
