Parts of the Jammu city presented a graceful look on Monday with roads comparatively neat and clean, traffic plying in discipline, no congestion and smooth regulation by the men in blues and those in Khaki running here and there, showing high degree of presence of mind, by keeping pavement encroachers at bay. But this make over was limited to the routes to be used by President of India, who was in the town in connection with Convocation of Jammu University.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the insensitivity administration and inept political junta not to show similar expediency during normal days thus giving the residents a sense of the government-for the people, by the people and of the people.
