A week after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Lahore to wish his counterpart Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on his birthday, Pakistan sponsored terrorists targeted Pathankot Air Force base and martyred seven soldiers. This is repeat of what Atal Behari Vajpyee faced in Kargil while travelling to Lahore in bus to meet Mian Nawaz. The Pathankot attack is also an acknowledgement to Sanaskari Modi’s gesture of touching feet of Sharif’s mother that laps of several Indian mothers stand deserted.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for successive Indian governments to trust the tested rogue neighbour and carry out experiment after experiment to buy peace?
