PRIDE OR SHAME
The so-called mainstream parties of Kashmir provide interesting case-studies for research scholars pursuing political science. When will they turn Indians and when they change the fence is difficult to predict. They themselves are not very sure about it. Sheikh Abdullah’s son and former minister Dr Mustaffa Kamal has accused the Centre of ‘re-shaping Ikhwan in Kashmir in the form of such groups to divide separatists’ factions and devalue importance of United Jihad Council (UJC). He is taking pride in holding the brief for notorious anti-India outfits.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for National Conference to tolerate such elements in the party who take pains in projecting and promoting seditious elements by belittling the nationalist forces, day in and day out?
