‘Prejudice galore in transfers of masters, lecturers’

JAMMU: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) on Monday accused helmsmen responsible for transfer of Masters and Lecturers of deliberately overlooking the norms set in the transfer policy thereby promoting corruption and nepotism in the whole gamut.
Chairing a meeting of AJKLTF members, Mohan Singh President and Mahashwar Parsad Working President of the federation said that transfers are going on with sheer discrimination and favouritism. They rued that the department is paying no heed in improving the education infrastructure including framing of syllabus, evaluation system, etc. The federation also condemned the policy of Government to keep the teachers working under SSA, RMSA, NPS without salary for months together.
The members threatened to start an agitation if their demands are not met soon.
Shiv Dev Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Devraj Thakur, Arun Kumar, Ravinder Verma, Madan Singh, Purshotam Sharma, Prem Kumar, Darshan Bharti, Pardeeep Kumar, Manjeet Singh, Rattan Chand, Kuldeep Raj, Darminder Singh, Talvinder Singh and Ravindep Choudhary.
