Pranav guides NCC to massive 114 runs win

JAMMU: Splendid all-round performance from Pranav Gupta on Sunday guided National Cricket Club (NCC) to a huge 114 runs win against Media Blasters in the ongoing Second Holi Cup Twenty20 Tournament at Phalain Mandal in Tawi Island area of the city, here.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, NCC set a big target of 196 runs for six wickets. Pranav played superb innings of 36-ball 56 runs while Vijay Dogra and Govind Sadotra added 49 (off 19 balls) and 28 runs respectively. For Media Blasters, Rahul Saini took three wickets, followed by Kuldeep Sharma and Honey Singh, who shared apiece each.
In reply, Media Blasters was bowled out cheaply for 81 runs in 16.4 overs, courtesy four wickets haul from Pranav Gupta. Rahul Saini and Jagdeep were main scorers with 18 and 15 runs in their respective accounts.
For NCC, besides Pranav, Mayanak Gautam and Vijay Dogra claimed three and two wickets respectively.
For his all round performance, Pranav Gupta was obvious choice for the Man of the Match. Virender Singh and Babloo were Umpires in today’s match while Raj Kumar maintained the scorecard.
