JAMMU: Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort, Jammu, celebrated 640th Prakash Utsav of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj here in the premises of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Mandir, Bahu Fort, on Tuesday. The programme was organised under the aegis of Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Maharaj.
On the occasion, former minister and senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla was the Chief Guest.
Bhalla, in his address, threw light on the life history and teachings of Guru Ravi Dass ji and said that people should follow the path shown by the great Guru to the coming generations.
Dr Sanjay Bhasin, President JKRCEA threw light on the life and mission of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravi Dass Maharaj. He also condemned that Lathi-charge on people participating in the rally organized on 28th January 2017.
Vijay Lochan, Ex-President All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha also threw light on the struggle of Guru throughout his life. He said that government has failed on all fronts to protect the rights of Reserved Category employees.
Dr Vijay Shivgotra, President, Sham Lal Kalsi, Senior Vice President, Vikas Kalsi Vice President, Sham Lal Basson General Secretary, Mangat Ram Secretary, Sanjay Kalsi Organsing Secretary, Rajesh Kumar Publicity Secretary, Vikas Loch Cashier, Joginder Lal Store Incharge, Suresh Bangotra President Youth Wing, Raj Kalsi Advisor and Ramesh Chander Pathi also spoke on the occasion.
Students of Shri Sai Public School performed cultural programme on the life Guru Ravi Dass Maharaj under the direction of Krishan Bangotra, Director Tapasya Art Dramma Party.
Sonu Heer renowned singer of J&K Sang Bhajans on the life and mission of Guru ji. Students of Savitri Bai Phule Modern School Bari Barhmana also performed on this occasion under the direction of Sunita Bangotra, Principal of the school.
Prof. Kali Dass, Prof. G.L Thapa, Shashi Verma, Bharat Hans, Dr. Kuldeep Moten, Bahdur Lal, Narinder Dutt, Som Raj Taroch, M.L Banalia, Sudesh Kumar, Madan Lal, Des Raj, Badri Nath, Puran Atri, Dev Raj, Capt. Tersem, Dr. D.D Shivgora, Amarnath, Purshotam Thapa, Shankar Chand, Charan Dass, Dev Raj Atri, B.R Banalia, Devi Ditta, B.M Rana, Master Tara Chand and Rajinder Kumar were also present.
Those who were honoured by Bahu Fort Sabha included Shallu Assistant Prof, Sonu Heer, Dr. Sanjay Bhasin, Krishan Bangotra, Sunita Bangotra and Col Mohan Lal.
