Maharashtra is the leading industrial state of the country. Maharashtra has an incomparable contribution to the country’s economy. The state’s GDP is about Rs 29 lakh crore. Maharashtra is the number one state in the country in terms of GDP. At the end of November 2020, the unemployment rate in the state was just 3 per cent. Maharashtra is touching new heights under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray. Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership as Chief Minister has been extremely influential. Government policy is excellent. The general public is at the center of the policy. The intention of the Government is clear and simple. Maharashtra Government is moving forward with both development and confidence.
When the Mahagathbandhan Government was formed in Maharashtra, some economists had some doubts about the efficient leadership. There was confusion over whether the impact of the new Government’s policies on the development of the state will be positive or negative. Today, all the doubts have been halted.
The enlightened and prudent Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has handled the state of Maharashtra as a Chief Minister very well. The Government has been successful in all fronts. It was not an easy task to control the COVID-19 epidemic in a metropolis like Mumbai with such ease.
All the ministers of Maharashtra Government showed their competent leadership. Efficient policies were made. The way in which COVID-19 was controlled in the entire state is an example for the whole world.
Maharashtra has the highest testing of COVID-19 cases in the country. The number of corona infected patients was also higher in the figures due to the high testing. Because of this, the Government was also gritty but the Government was determined.
Chief Minister was confident of his work. Had there been any other Government, it would have reduced the number of tests to bring figure down. But the Maharashtra government did not do so.
The number of tests was increased rather than reduced. Hospitals with better facilities for patients were constructed with in a few days. Infrastructure was strengthened. Today, the effective leadership, efficient policy and quick implementation by the Government of Maharashtra has established control over the COVID-19 infection.
This Government is a Government of the poor, destitute, farmers and laborers. In its short tenure, Government has worked more for the poor than previous government, ruled for 5 years in the past.
No one is unaware of the plight of the slum-dwellers before this new Government came. In name of the facilities there was just promises and claims. In the last one year, the Uddhav Thackeray Government has given many facilities to the slum dwellers.
This is the Government dedicated to uplift the poor. A government that believes in work, a Government that thinks about the poor. The Government has complete control over inflation. Prices of essential goods and services are stable now. The Government has also ensured economic progress in Maharashtra. The Government has succeeded in attracting industrialists, small entrepreneurs, new businessmen with its various schemes. Despite the corona pandemic, Maharashtra collected GST of Rs 15,799 crore in October 2020, which is 5 per cent higher than in October 2019 last year. The state Government is focused on increasing industrial and business activities. There is a need to further increase investment in Maharashtra. Leadership is impressive. The policy is excellent. The intention is clear. In my view, the Maharashtra Government simply needs to pay a little attention to its marketing and branding.
