POONCH: Power House Club bagged the title trophy in the District Women’s Hockey Championship, organised by Hockey Poonch at Sports Stadium, here on Sunday.
In the final, Power House Club defeated Stadium XI by four goals to one. Meenakshi remained the star striker netting three goals in the 15th, 18th and 28th minute while Parvneet contributed another goal in the 46th minute.
For Stadium XI, Ishita reduced the margin sounding the board in the 33rd minute. The final as officiated by the technical penal comprising Rohit, Mukesh, Sohail and Pawan.
In the final and prize distribution function, Sports Officer of the State Sports Council, Rajan Sharma was the Chief Guest. Also present were Nirdosh Sharma, Prof Jasbir Singh and Prof Fateh Mohammad and Ravinder.
