Post Office among other Industrial units disconnected by JPDCL for non-payment

JAMMU: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) Gangyal under the directions of Chief Engineer Distribution Gurmeet Singh, led by P D Singh Executive Engineer, Electric Division-II, Gandhi Nagar and AEE Gangyal Nitin Mahajan carried out a drive to disconnect connections of willful defaulters having huge pending arrears. During the drive, Post office Bari Brahmana having no power connection along with 7 big Industrial units were disconnected. The power supply to Sarveshwar Oversees having pending arrears of more than Rs 10 Lakh, ESS EMM Ice Factory having pending arrears of Rs. 22.97 Lakh, ACE Engineers having pending arrears of Rs 4.68 Lakh, Shiv Shakti Metals having pending arrears of Rs 7.07 Lakh among many others was disconnected during the drive.
As per official spokesman, in continuation to daily disconnection drive, the Enforcement Team headed by Executive Engineer along with Assistant Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Feeder Managers and other field staff conducted inspections in different sections of Electric Sub Division Gangyal and apprised Consumers that J&K Government has already waived off 50 per cent demand charges for industrial and commercial consumers for year 2020-21, so pending arrears should be immediately cleared.
