SRINAGAR: Continuing its drive against the contraband cultivation, police along with Revenue Department destroyed large mass of poppy cultivation in District Pulwama in the instant year. Police along with Excise and Revenue Department in the ongoing drive to destroy poppy cultivation, destroyed poppy cultivation spread over about 1,100 Kanals of land in the current year till today. The drive is going on and will continue in future said SP Pulwama. Legal action as envisaged under law was initiated against the cultivators.
