Polytechnic students protest as college denies access to library, laboratory

POONCH: Students of various streams of Government Polytechnic College Poonch held a protest against the Principal for not allowing them access to the library and computer laboratory.
Youth Civil Society under the chairmanship of Imtiaz Salaria which came to support students cause, also joined the protest.
Salaria while addressing the protesters said that firstly the College is short of teaching staff and on top of it these students are not allowed access to the available infrastructure which amounts to ruining the career of the students.
Salaria along with a deputation of students tried to meet the Principal but he was denied the appointment. Salaria said that it was the dictatorial and arrogant approach of the Principal due to which the career of the students of different streams is being jeopardised.
He appealed to the DDC Poonch and the concerned higher ups of the College to resolve the issue within three days period failing which the students with the support of Civil Society and parents of the students will come on road.
