Police restores purse to owner

KATRA: One unclaimed purse containing cash amounting to Rs.2920 along with ATM and Identity Cards was found by Police Party of Police Post Banganga during patrolling at Banganga. An announcement was flashed through JPCR Katra in this regard by Sub Inspector Vikas Jasrotia, Incharge Police Post Banganga and as per the I-Card details Naresh Dhemja was contacted, who is an employee of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC). Dhemja informed that he had reached at his native place but he will depute someone for collection of purse on his behalf.
On this, he sent Ashok Sharma, Manager OBC Bank, who appeared before Police Post Banganga and reported about the missing of purse of Neelam Rani. Accordingly the purse was handed over to him by Police at Police Post Banganga after proper verification. The entire operation was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra and Sumir Kotwal, Additional SP Katra.
