KISHTWAR: Kishtwar Police in collaboration with civil administration have launched rescue operations at number of places. Three families have been shifted from sliding area of Painaalla to Thatri by Tehsildaar Drabshalla and a police party led by PSI Vishav Partap.
Similarly a Bhadarwah bound marriage party of one Subash Chander of Seri Bazaar Bhadarwah was rescued from a landslide near Patshalla and was taken to a safer place at Kewa by a police party led by ICPP Jwalapur S.I Rakesh Roshan.
In Padyarna, police party led by SI Jagdish Parihaar along with Tehsildaar Nagseni rescued affected families from sliding areas of Kukera, Ajna, Sergam and Ahlan villages.
Further, in Chatru and padder areas, civil administration alongwith police have evacuated families living along river embankments. It is pertinent to mention here that rescue teams have been formed at each police station and police post level in district Kishtwar to come to rescue of people in distress. SSP Kishtwar Sanjay Kotwal is himself supervising and guiding the rescue efforts.
