Police-public meeting held

JAMMU: Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), S.K Sharma asked general public to make aware the police if they notice any suspicious person or unclaimed items in the area and help the District Police to maintain the purity and divinity/peaceful of town.
Sharma was speaking in the police-public meeting convened by Muthi Welfare Committee at Boys Higher Secondary School Muthi.
SP Rural Arun Kumar, SHO Domana Rajeshwar Salathia and prominent citizens including Chander Shekhar, Suraj Padha, Raman Sharma, Mukesh Sharma, Rinku Chowhan and others police officers were present in the meeting.
Various public issues and problems raised by the participants were discussed.
The grievances of all the participants were heard patiently and they were assured that their genuine demands will be communicated to the concerned senior officers for redressal.
SP Rural said, “People-Connect is an initiative to improve the mutual understanding between people and police. Police being the first responder has a great duty towards ensuring the safety of citizens and their property”.
They also assured their full support and participation in tackling any unlawful or untoward incident. Various public issues and problems raised by the participants were discussed in the meeting pertaining to different departments.
