Police Public Cricket Premier League JKP Tigers, Simula, Murtaza Warriors, TCI Max win respective ties

SRINAGAR: JKP Tigers, Simula Superstars, Murtaza Warriors and TCI Max won their respective matches in the ongoing Police Public Cricket Premier League, organised by J and K Police at Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium and Kashmir University Ground, here on Tuesday.
In the first match of the day, JKP tigers outplayed Ramhall Lions by six wickets.
Batting first, Ramhall Lions were bundled out for 97 runs in 17.4 overs. For JKP Tigers, Rumpy Sharma with his best bowling attack clinched five wickets in just 3.4 overs while Mehjoor Ali claimed two for 7 runs in his four overs spell. In reply, JKP Tigers achieved the target easily in 16.4 overs losing only four wickets.
Rumpy Sharma of JKP Tigers was declared man of the match for his superb bowling performance. The award for Best catch of the match was given to Ishtiyaq Ahmad of JKP Tigers and most sixes of the match award was secured by Jatin of JKP Tigers.
In another match, Simula Super Stars defeated Hamza Super Kings by 31 runs. Batting first, Simula Stars scored 130 runs for nine wickets in the 20 overs with Shashi Kumar scoring 31 runs. In reply, Hamza Super Kings could only make 99 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Raman Datta was adjudged Man of the Match while Best catch award was awarded to Aaqib Nazir of Hamza Super Kings. Most number of sixes award was given to Puneet Kumar.
DIG Traffic Alok Kumar and SSP Srinagar Amit Kumar presented the gift cheques to the players.
At Kashmir University Cricket Ground, first match was played between Murtaza Warriors and HK Stars.
Murtaza Warriors with the help of Adil Rasheed’s 54 runs set a target of 142 for six in 20 overs. In reply, HK Stars was bundled out for 106 runs thus lost the match by 36 runs. Adil Rasheed was declared Man of the Match while Best catch award was won by Mudasir Ahmad and Umar Nabi of Murtaza Warriors awarded for most number of sixes.
In the last match, TCI Max trounced BCC Bulls by 35 runs. TCI Max made 116 runs in 20 overs. In reply, BCC Bulls could accumulate only 81 in their chase. Zahoor Sofi of TCI Max was awarded with Man of the Match for taking two wickets for three runs and he was also notched the Best catch of the match award. The most sixes of the match award was given to Rayees Bhat of BCC Bulls.
Tomorrow Fixtures: Alhamza Superkings V/S Mirza Gladiators at SK Stadium and HK Stars V/S Simula Superstars at University Ground at 9:30 AM. JKP Tigers V/S Anantnag Kings at SK Stadium and TCI Max V/S Ramhalls Lions at University Cricket Ground at 1:30 PM.
