Police Sub Division Rafiabad on Thursday organized Rafiabad Police Premier League 2016 in which a
total of 64 cricket teams are going to participate.
SP Sopore inaugurated the tournament and the inauguration match was played between Saripora XI and Police XI.
Saripora XI batted first and set the target of 124 runs.
However, Police XI failed to chase the target and scored only 116 runs. SDPO Rafiabad said that organising the tournament is only motive of the police to engage youth in sports activities.
“The sports activities will help youth to remain far from the Drug addiction, which is currently on rise in the state,” he said. He said that Police will continue to organise such tournaments for the well-being of youth.
