RS PURA: The Jammu Police paid rich tributes to the martyrs Dy SP Devinder Sharma and his PSO Gurbachan Singh on their 13th death anniversary.
Paying homage to the martyrs, Inspector General (IG) of Police Rajesh Kumar, DIG Jammu–Kathua Range Shakeel Ahmed Beig, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand and prominent people of the area laid wreaths on the memorial. The function was organized by Lions Club RS Pura at Mahatma Gandhi Park here on Monday. The police contingent paid tributes to martyrs by reversing arms.
Addressing the gathering, Uttam Chand said that Dy SP Devinder Sharma was a patriot, honest and dedicated person and the State police is proud of his sacrifice. He said that these police cops sacrificed their lives during an IED blast in Tehsil Billawar, Kathua.
The Police officers assured their wholehearted support to the family members of the martyrs.
