RAMBAN: As a part of Police Flag Day celebrations in Distt Ramban, Final match of ongoing Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament was played at Sports Stadium Sangaldaan.
The Final match of tournament was played between Mountain Warriors Cricket Club and Sangaldaan Cricket Club in which Sangaldaan Cricket Club emerged as Winners by 5 Wickets.
Winners Trophy, Runners Up Trophy, Man of the Match Trophy and Man of the Series Trophy were awarded to the players.
Besides Match Umpires and Scorer were also felicitated.
SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar JKPS, IC PP Sangaldaan SI Sameer Ahmed, PRI representatives, other respectable citizens and large number of Youth of the Sangaldaan area witnessed the closing ceremony.
SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar JKPS while speaking on the occasion congratulated the Winning/Runner up team and said that these Sports activities are a Tribute to Martyrs and are organized by J&K Police to give boost to and channelize youth energy in positive manner.
He further stated that more Sports/Cultural events shall be organized by Police in different areas of Subdivision Gool in coming days.
Local people have highly appreciated the holding of such Tournament at Sangaldaan and demanded such activities in the future too.
