Police launches helpline for students studying outside State

SRINAGAR: Police has launched a helpline for the students of the district who are presently studying outside the State or in any foreign country.
A total of 316 students of District Shopian are presently studying outside the State. A message on WhatsApp and through SMS has been circulated to them by Superintendent of Police Dr. Shailendra Mishra assuring them of any intervention they might require.
In case any student has been missed out, classmates/room-mates can contact Jammu and Kashmir Police, District Shopian PCR on 9596768831, WhatsApp number 9596768822 or Facebook https:// www.facebook.com/Shopian-Police. Since students are studying outside the State and away from family, in any exigency wherein intervention of the local police of their area is required they can contact on above given numbers or Facebook.
The services are available 24×7×365 days, release said.
