Police imparts vocational training to students

POONCH: District Police Poonch is running a vocational training centre which was established during the year 2002 where vocational training in different trades viz computer courses, shorthand courses and cutting and tailoring trades are being imparted to youth of Poonch. An impressive function on Wednesday was organised by District Police Poonch at DPL Poonch in which Jatinder Singh Johar-SSP Poonch was the Chief Guest and distributed certificates among 49 students of 20th batch who have successfully completed Vocational Training Centre (VTC) courses in computer, shorthand, cutting and tailoring streams. SSP Poonch Jatinder Singh Johar while speaking on the occasion elaborated in detail the steps taken by District Police Poonch in helping the local youth to excel in all spheres of life whether it is academic, sports, cultural activities or any other curricular activities. He exhorted upon the youth to contribute positively in the society and help in eradication of various social evils, crime and maintain peace, communal harmony and national integration at all cost which is pre-requisite for peace and tranquility in the society.
Amit Gupta-ASP Poonch, Mohd Rafi Giri- DySP DAR and staff of the VTC Poonch were also present during the certificate distribution function.
