SRINAGAR: Handwara Police on Thursday organised a felicitation function to honour the winners of 35th National Bodokan Championship held at Bengaluru.
Police facilitated gold medal winner Mehreen Altaf Banday and Yamin Fayaz Sofi of Handwara who won silver medal.
A large gathering including the Budokan players, their parents and civil society members of Handwara witnessed the event.
SSP Handwara Ghulam Jeelani Wani congratulated and appreciated both the winners. Trophies were also distributed to them by police.
SDPO Handwara Shabir Khan, DySP DAR Handwara Farooq Wani, DySP Handwara Munish Sharma, DySP Kralgund Tariq Mehmood and other senior police officers were present on the occasion.
