SRINAGAR: Police on Monday arrested a conman, who allegedly duped Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
An application was moved by an official wherein he had mentioned that one unknown person had impersonated him and also approached top echelons of J&K Bank for some work.
The J&K Bank authorities took up the matter with the concerned department for verification thereby exposing the fake identity of the aforesaid person.
Accordingly, a case FIR No 33/2018 under Section 419 RPC was registered at Police Station Kothi Bagh and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, police identified and arrested a doctor who had impersonated in this case namely Dr Nauman Farooq, son of Farooq Ahmad, resident of Sarai Bala, Srinagar.
