BHADARWAH: The Village Social Welfare and Development Committee NGO Kishanpur Dungara organised an awareness camp regarding promotion of biodiversity in the premises of the NGO. Hundreds of students and community peoples participated in the camp and were educated about the importance of plantations .
The NGO Volunteers and participants planted 210 saplings in the waste land jointly at Village Kishanpur (Dungara). The plants were purchased from the forest nursery.
Pankaj Gupta, Sohan Lal, Sahil Mangotra, Vinod Kumar, Committee members were among the others who participated in the programme. S.P Sharma appealed to the community members to give priority for the plantation in their own land/waste land for helping the NGO for making the healthy environment at village level. The programme was sponsored by WWF Ministry of Forest and Environment Govt. of India through State Unit University Campus Jammu.
